Welcome to Taste of Turkey.
We are an Anglo-Turkish family business specialising in the importation of traditional Turkish Olives and genuine Turkish Delight.
All our products are either sourced from our own family or from local producers in the region of Gemlik, south of Istanbul.
It gives us satisfaction to know where our products are grown and how they are produced, in turn providing an income for the small family producers.
With Turkey being one of the top four olive producers in the world we felt it was about time the British public had more of a choice in olives. The UK market has been saturated with the marinated style of olive for far too long. Olives are a fruit and should be treated as such. Every variety should have its own distinct taste, flesh texture and colour as you would expect from any apple or pear. In our opinion to marinate an olive is hiding its true taste.
Our Turkish Delight (Lokum) is made to our specifications and particularly for the UK climate. You will find no better in the UK and will struggle to find anything of this quality in Turkey. The finest selection in the country.
There is no gelatine, glucose or animal products used in our Turkish Delight.
Our Turkish Delight is suitable for various dietery requirements, including: gluten free, vegetarians and vegans. It has also been produced to standards required for being halal and kosher.
